<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a temperature inside a DPF, control a DPF maximum temperature to be a predetermined temperature or lower based on the temperature estimation value, and thereby to suppress excessive temperature rise of the DPF. <P>SOLUTION: For a regeneration control of the DPF 3 installed to an exhaust passage 2 of an engine 1, a plurality of temperature estimation points are set inside the DPF 3 in a gas flow direction to estimate the temperature by using heat balance models at the plurality of temperature estimation points. Temperature distribution information is acquired from these temperature estimation values to estimate the maximum temperature inside the DPF 3, and the temperature rising control is performed so that the maximum temperature becomes a predetermined value or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
