PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording medium cartridge capable of improving the maintainability of data recorded on recording media. SOLUTION: A recording tape cartridge 10 is configured by housing a reel 14 around which a magnetic tape T as a recording medium is wound in a case 12, and has a so-called WORM function for inhibiting a recording area wherein data are already written on the magnetic tape T from overwriting data thereon. Inside the case 12, a first memory board 38 is provided for storing data management information for managing data to be written on the magnetic tape T, and a second memory board 42 is provided for storing WORM management information for managing the write of data to the magnetic tape T.
