PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only prevent deformation of end parts of a belt to prevent the degradation but also prevent meandering of the belt to reduce the noise of rubbing against a flange member in a fixing device of a tensionless durable thin belt heat fixing system. SOLUTION: In the fixing device having a constitution of making a belt in the fixing side tensionless, a flange 17 to which a fixing belt support member 15 for supporting a fixing belt 12 is attached is provided with a control groove 18 for controlling the fixing belt 12. Or in the fixing device having a constitution of making a belt in the pressurizing side tensionless, a flange 23 to which a pressure belt support member 22 for supporting a pressure belt 21 from an inner surface is attached is provided with a groove for controlling inner and outer surfaces of the pressure belt 21.
