PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle sensor with high degree of freedom of design. SOLUTION: The rotation angle sensor 20 detects a rotation angle of a shaft 11 by detecting the direction of magnetic flux changed in accordance with the rotation of the shaft 11 by a magnetic resistance element 23. The rotation angle sensor 20 comprises a rotor magnet 21 integrally rotated with the shaft 11 and a bias magnet 22 applying a bias magnetic field to the magnetic resistance element 23. The magnetic resistance element 23 is provided between the rotor magnet 21 and the bias magnet 22, and detects the direction of the magnetic flux of a composed magnetic field by the magnetic field formed by the rotor magnet 21 and the bias magnetic field formed by the bias magnet 22.
