PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and precisely screening a capillary stabilizer or the like in vitro. SOLUTION: The method for screening a shrinkage inhibitor of a vascular endothelial cell or the capillary stabilizer comprises culturing a collagen gel seeded with the vascular endothelial cell, with a tested sample for a prescribed time, and measuring a gel area of the collagen gel to judge the gel shrinkage-inhibiting effects of the test sample.
