PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staple processing apparatus having good appearance and operability, not lowered in productivity and equipped with a housing part having a suitable capacity. SOLUTION: The staple processing apparatus is equipped with a tray wherein the maximum loading number of sheet bundles is determined, a stapler unit 160 for housing needle tip parts cut by a cutter part 162 and a housing part 163 having a volume not less than a volume for housing all of the needle tip parts cut from staples of which the number is necessary for obtaining the maximum loading number of the sheet bundles bound by the staples at the maximum number of staple processing positions capable of selecting a plurality of superposed sheets.
