PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cover the outer surface of an article with one masking sheet with good workability even when an object to be masked is the outer surface of the article, such as a motor vehicle, and the outer surface of the article must be covered with the masking sheet so as to be wrapped. SOLUTION: In a masking material, an adhesive face part 2 is installed on a part in the width direction of the masking sheet 1 so as to be along the lengthwise direction of the sheet. Each of side sheet parts 4 on both right and left sides of an intermediate sheet part 3 in the middle in the width direction of the masking sheet is sequentially folded along the lengthwise direction of the sheet so as to be piled up on one side of the intermediate sheet part, and the adhesive face part is installed on the other side of the intermediate sheet part.
