PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled cleaner reducing load received by a brush mechanism from a floor face and preventing a cord or the like from being twisted around the brush mechanism to hinder self-propelled motion of the self-propelled cleaner provided with a self-propelled mechanism and a cleaning mechanism at a cleaner body 1 and cleaning the floor face by the cleaning mechanism while moving on the floor face by the self-propelled mechanism. SOLUTION: In this self-propelled cleaner, the cleaning mechanism is composed of the brush mechanism 5 rotatable along the floor face, and a drive mechanism 4 for rotationally driving the brush mechanism 5. The brush mechanism 5 is composed of a rotating shaft 51 extending vertically to the floor face, one arm 52 projecting sideways from the lower end of the rotating shaft 51, and a brush 53 planted in the arm 52.
