<p>The invention is based on the characterization of selenoprotein T (SelT) as involved in the regulation of intracellular calcium. Therefore, the invention concerns compositions comprising SelT or a polynucleotide capable of expressing or inhibiting the expression of SelT in a host cell. In particular, the invention concerns pharmaceutical compositions for treating diseases related to a calcium homeostasis defect.</p>
