<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor device which accurately obtains the position and size of a moving body with simple constitution by using two cameras. <P>SOLUTION: The monitor device has a background image memory 14 which previously stores as a background image an image acquired in the absence of a moving body in a monitored visual field, an image acquisition control part 12a which stores images obtained by a plurality of cameras 11a to 11c in an acquired image memory 13 as acquired images, a moving body area extraction part 15 which extracts an area whose previously obtained difference is larger than a predetermined threshold as a moving body area and decides whether the moving body area is within an overlapping area, a two-eye moving body position detection part 19 which detects the position of the moving body in three dimensions when the extracted moving body area is in an overlapping area, and a single-eye moving body position detection part 18 which detects the position of the moving body in two dimensions when the extracted moving body area is not in the overlapping area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
