PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of determination of a face in photographed image data regardless of the photographing environment.

SOLUTION: The image processor 1 acquires an image signal from the photographed image data (step S1), divides the image data to areas including predetermined combinations of brightness and hue based on the acquired image signal, and calculates an occupation ratio showing the ratio of each divided area to the whole photographed image data (step S2). The light distribution condition in photographing is determined by performing the operation of multiplying the calculated occupation ratio of each area by a coefficient preset according to a photographing condition (step S3), and a processing condition for determining a personal face from the photographed image data is determined according to the determined light distribution condition (step S4). Processing for determining the personal face from the photographed image data is performed according to the processing condition (step S5).
