PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine red eye from photographed image data.

SOLUTION: The image processor 1 determines a light distribution condition in shooting from photographed image data (step S2), and determines whether or not red eye is present in the photographed image data in case that the determined light distribution condition is a strobing condition (step S3). When the presence of red eye in the photographed image data is determined (step S4: YES), red-eye correction processing for correcting color failures is performed for a pixel area in which the red eye is present (step S5).
