<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device of a simple shape, easy to unify its standard. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell device 10 has a fuel cell unit 7 provided in a cylindrical casing 1. The fuel cell unit 7 is provided with a cylindrical fuel electrode 2 arranged coaxially with the casing 1, an electrolyte film 3 made of a cylindrical proton-conductive solid polymer film surrounding an outer periphery of the fuel electrode 2, a cylindrical air electrode 4 surrounding an outer periphery of the electrolyte film 3, and a fuel tank 5 capable of supplying fuel to the fuel electrode 2 as well as a fuel recovery tank 6 for housing non-reacting fuel from the fuel electrode 2, each arranged at an inside of the fuel electrode 2.
