<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable protecting tube wherein shape stability is enhanced and its slit can be easily closed by reinforcing its imperforate wall portion against bending in the direction of its thickness. <P>SOLUTION: A perforated wall portion 2 is formed which has a large number of through holes 1 formed in the axial direction within a predetermined range in the circumferential direction. The imperforate wall portion 3 wherein the through holes 1 are closed is formed in the axial direction within the remaining range in the circumferential direction. The slit 4 extending in the axial direction is formed in the imperforate wall portion 3.
