PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience when instructing imaging conditions. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a storage means for storing control data comprised of combination of setting information of the imaging apparatus corresponding to various photographing conditions and a control means for controlling an imaging unit according to the control data stored in the storage means. This imaging apparatus includes a display means that displays model images corresponding to photographing conditions and performs guidance for a user to select a desired model image, the control means being configured to control the imaging unit in accordance with the control data corresponding to the photographing conditions of the selected model image.
