PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise in display by reducing variation in voltage at a common electrode of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A CCFL 1 which is supplied with voltage by an inverter circuit 3 is used as a back light. On an array substrate 11, a wire for applying voltage to the common electrode 15 is provided. A pad 21 is formed halfway on the wire. Furthermore, a color filter substrate 13 equipped with the common electrode 15 and a color filter 14 is arranged opposite the array substrate 11. The color filter substrate 13 is provided with a metal frame which is grounded.
