PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water faucet for allowing a right-handed or left-handed person to easily operate a switching handle which selects a discharge pipe or a shower head. SOLUTION: The water faucet comprises a water faucet body 11 having a temperature control handle 13 on the side face and storing a temperature control member 12 for controlling the temperature of hot water supplied by the operation of the temperature control handle 13, a supporting member 21 mounted on the water faucet body 11 and formed with a water path 22 through which the hot water controlled by the temperature control member 12 passes, and a switching mechanism 31 mounted to the supporting member 21 for switching the hot water supplied to either the discharge pipe 6 or the shower head 7.
