PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make plated fibrous material hardly forming an easily cut part or a part where the plating is easily peeling off. SOLUTION: This method for pre-treating for plating a wound body W having a cylindrical shape and obtained by winding a fibrous material such as fiber, fiber bundle, yarn, etc., on a liquid penetrable winding tube B is constituted by ultrasonic wave-oscillating the wound body W and pre-treating liquid while passing the pre-treating liquid through the wound body W from its inside to outside or from the outside to the inside. The pre-treating device is provided by making the circumferential wall of a tubular shaft 4 as liquid penetrable, attaching the wound body W at the outer periphery of the tubular shaft 4 as freely detachable, constituting the wound body W attached to the tubular shaft 4 as flowing the pre-treating liquid through from its inside to outside or from the outside to inside, installing an ultrasonic wave oscillating element 11, constituting that the ultrasonic wave is irradiated towards the wound body W through which the pre-treating liquid flows, and the pre-treating liquid, setting the tubular shaft 4 as rotatable around its axial center, installing driving devices 3, 6, 7 for rotating the tubular shaft 4 and rotating the wound body W receiving the ultrasonic wave for oscillating the whole circumference of the wound body W with the ultrasonic wave.
