PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top plate where at least an outer periphery edge bent-formed three-dimensionally can be coated easily with another member without any problem in a top plate base material formed so as to look thin in a view from the obliquely upper side of it from a separate place, and where there is no fear of directly damaging the outer periphery edge of the top plate base material since the outer periphery edge is elastic and strong against a shock due to mentioned another member covering it even when a chair etc. hits the outer periphery edge in the case of using the top plate base material for a table, a desk, etc. SOLUTION: At least the prescribed outer periphery edge 5 of the top plate base material 2 is formed to have: an end face of proper length and vertical width; and an tilted surface 7 tilted at a proper angle from the lower end of the end face 6.
