PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing tool which is improved in compatibility and abutting performance of a grindstone tip with respect to a workpiece, exerts improved deburring performance and polishing performance, and suffers from little abrasion of the grindstone tip. SOLUTION: The polishing tool 1 has a cylindrical shank 2 to be chucked by a rotary device such as a rotary air drill, a grindstone tip support member 3 coaxially attached to the shank 2 and formed of a piano wire, and the grindstone tip 4 coaxially connected to a free end of the grindstone tip support member 3. In the grindstone tip 4, a plurality of bundles of inorganic continuous fibers are oriented in a predetermined direction, and the tip of each of the inorganic continuous fibers reaches a machining surface (a front end face 401 and a side surface 402). The grindstone tip support member 3 has elasticity imparted thereto, and therefore the machining surface of the grindstone tip 4 softly abuts on a machining objective surface of the workpiece, and therefore the grindstone tip 4 is prevented from bouncing on the machining objective surface of the workpiece.
