In a connector having a built-in electronic part, a base member is formed by a 3-dimensionally molded circuit substrate and has an engagement section to be engaged with a partner connector. On the surface of the base member, there are formed a terminal to be electrically connected to a wiring pattern on a mother board, a contact to be electrically connected to a contact terminal of a partner connector, and a conduction pattern to be electrically connected to the electronic part. For this, it is comparatively easy to modify the conductor pattern according to the use purpose and to perform a complicated wiring. Moreover, since the electronic part is arranged on the base member, the connector can have a plenty of built-in electronic parts and the degree of freedom of designing is increased. Furthermore, it is possible to attach the electronic parts with reflow soldering, thereby improving the mounting workability of the electronic parts.
