<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous nonwoven web having a narrow fiber diameter distribution width and a high weight uniformity by a melt blow method. <P>SOLUTION: This fibrous nonwoven web produced by the melt blow method is characterized in that the fiber diameters of 90 % of fibers constituting the web are fallen in a range from the minimum fiber diameter to the maximum fiber diameter which is three times, preferably two times, of the minimum fiber diameter, and that the variation coefficient of a weight distribution measured along the 0.64×13 cm portion of the web and 2.54 cm square is <1 % in both the longitudinal and latitudinal directions.
