IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus whereby a user can easily register an optional URL and a browser with respect to the URL can be displayed and to provide a method thereof.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus registers optional URL information entered from an operation section 2012 to an HDD 2004 as a URL table. Then the operation section 2012 carries out display of the browser on the basis of the registered URL. Whether a method of entering a character string by manual operation of the user or a method of extracting character information from image data read from a scanner section 2070 can be selected for the method of entering the URL.
