PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately reduce noise caused by an imaging element.

SOLUTION: A black level correction section 2 eliminates dark current noise of a signal from the imaging element 1 and thereafter a noise reduction section 3 carries out noise reduction processing to eliminate shot noise, and then a white balance correction section 4 corrects white balance. Since the noise is reduced after black level correction and before white balance multiplication according to the noise reduction processing with this configuration, the noise can accurately be reduced.
