<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display panel for an image of high picture quality free of deterioration even if disclination occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection type liquid crystal display panel comprises a transparent electrode 14 which is arranged opposite a substrate 2 composed of a transistor 2 formed on the substrate, an insulating film 4 formed on the transistor 22, a pixel electrode 9 connected to the transistor 22 through a through hole formed in the insulating film 4, and an alignment film 10 formed on the pixel electrode 9 and the insulating layer 4 exposed from the reflective pixel electrode 9 and has an alignment film 13 on the surface opposed to the alignment film 10, a liquid crystal layer 12 charged between the pixel electrode 9 and a transparent electrode 14, and a spacer 11 formed between a gap between pixel electrodes 9 and the transparent electrode 14; and a light absorbing layer 9 which absorbs incident light from the gap between the pixel electrodes 9 is formed in the insulating layer 4 and the width of the spacer 11 is narrower than the width of the gap between the pixel electrodes 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
