PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic flash fixing toner, and an image forming apparatus in a flash fixing system and further, to provide an electrophotographic flash fixing toner which is good in the dispersibility of a "polyolefin obtained by polymerization in the presence of a metallocene catalyst" which is a rubbing resistance improving material in flash fixing and hardly generate the deterioration of a lifetime, such as filming, and an image forming apparatus used for the same. SOLUTION: A low molecular weight polyolefin wax obtained by using the metallocene-based polymerization catalyst and a compound of an ester type structure expressed by general formula (I) (where, (p), (q), (m), and (n) respectively represent a positive integer from 16 to 22) are incorporated into the electrophotographic flash fixing toner containing a binder resin, a colorant and an IR absorbent exhibiting absorption in a range from 800 to 1,000 nm.
