PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail server capable of effectively solving trouble of double distribution of electronic mail. SOLUTION: A mail receiving unit 21 receives electronic mail destined to a computer including an account. A comparing unit 22 judges whether or not electronic mail overlapping with the electronic mail received by the mail receiving unit 21 is stored in a mailbox 13A. When the comparing unit 22 judges that the electronic mail overlapping with the electronic mail received by the mail receiving unit 21 is stored in the mailbox 13A, a storage processing unit 23 files one electronic mail, attaches it to the other electronic mail and stores it in the mailbox 13A.
