DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVING TERMINAL AND DIGITAL RECEIVING TERMINAL INFORMATION GATHERING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate trouble such that there is problems of security and a user of a digital broadcast receiving terminal himself or herself needs to set network equipment when terminal information and/or viewing information of the digital broadcast receiving terminal is gathered by using the Internet and the terminal is controlled from a server by using the SNMP protocol used to monitor and control the network equipment. SOLUTION: The terminal information and/or viewing information on a viewing state are transmitted from the digital broadcast receiving terminal 205 to the information gathering server 301 by the POST method of HTTP. When a digital broadcast receiving terminal is controlled from a digital broadcast receiving terminal 205, control information is included in a response of HTTP to transmission from the digital broadcast receiving terminal 205. The digital broadcast receiving terminal always takes the initiative in transmission of the terminal information and/or viewing information and control over the digital broadcast receiving terminal.
