PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable focus adjustment between a lens unit and an imaging device to be performed extremely easily at the time of assembly in an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 has a lens unit 15, a hollow-shaped lens holder 14 in which both ends are opened and the lens unit is to be housed, an imaging device 12 which is located at one end side of the lens unit 15 and which is positioned on the optical axis. A collar part 15c which extends in a direction crossing the optical axis is formed on the outer face of the lens unit, and housing space 14b in which the unit is to be housed is specified in the holder 14, and the housing space has first space positioned at the side of the imaging device and second space positioned at the side of the other end of the unit. A flat part 14f is formed extending in a direction crossing the optical axis at the boundary between the first and second space, and the diameter of the second space is specified to be larger than that of the first space and the diameter of the collar part is specified to be smaller than that of the second space and larger than that of the first space, and the relative positioning between the lens unit and the imaging device is performed in the housing space and the collar part is fixed to the inner face of the second housing space with adhesives 41.
