PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment and detachment device for an attachable and detachable type submerged pump retaining water cooling effect even at a time of low water level draining without leak due to surface opening at a time of drive even if the pump is light. SOLUTION: In the attachable and detachable submerged pump having a side open type connecting opening 3 provided on a attachment and detachment bend 2 and a pump delivery opening 6 of a pump main body 5 which can freely move up and down along a guide stem 4 detachably joining via a suspension mechanism, the pump main body 5 is pivotally attached to the suspension mechanism by a hinge pin 16 to enable to change attitude to vertical or horizontal, the pump main body 5 moving down into a tank in a vertical attitude is converted in a horizontal attitude having a fulcrum on the pivot part 10, the connection opening 3 and the pump delivery opening 6 are put under a joined condition with receiving pressing moment by the load, the pump main body 5 is converted in the vertical attitude with having the fulcrum on the pivot part 10 when the pump main body is moved up, and the joined surface of the connecting opening 3 and the pump delivery opening 6 is separated.
