PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deformation of a cylinder block caused by fastening force of a cylinder head bolt in assembly of a cylinder head with the cylinder block, at relatively low cost. SOLUTION: A faucet joint part 22 constituted of a faucet joint projection part 24 and a faucet joint recess part 26 is disposed to a lower end part on a side of the inside of a cylinder of the cylinder head 16 and an upper end part of a side of the inside of the cylinder of the cylinder liner 14. The faucet joint is clearance-fitted in a radial direction and in an axial direction, a predetermined clearance S1 is formed between a lower face of the faucet joint projection part and an upper face of the faucet joint recess part, and a predetermined clearance S2 is formed between a side face of the faucet joint projection part and a side face of the faucet joint recess part. Rubber-like sealant K with high heat resistance is filled in the clearance S1, the clearance S2, and a joint part between upper end faces of the cylinder block 12 and the cylinder liner 14 and the lower end face of the cylinder head 16, and the cylinder head 16 is fastened (joined) and fixed with the cylinder block 12 and the cylinder liner 14.
