<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breaking of a blade section, the damage of a housing case, and the generation of noises from occurring at the time of transport or handling of a throw-away chip. <P>SOLUTION: This housing case 1 for a throw-away tool has a housing section 3 in which the throw-away tool 2 is housed. In a case base body 4 made of a dense plastic, an underlay 6 which is made of a plastic and placed under the throw-away tool 2, and a frame section 7 which is made of a foamed plastic or a foamed rubber, on which the housing section 3 for the throw-away tool 2 is punched, and which is mounted in a manner to cover the outer peripheral surface of the throw-away tool 2 are integrated by bonding to form a cushioning member 7.
