<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC tag having a sticker form to be stuck to an article in use and leaving a trace when it is peeled off from the article after it is stuck to the article. <P>SOLUTION: This non-contact type data carrier with a break detection function includes an IC chip having a memory, receives/transmits a signal from/to an external circuit via an antenna circuit, and receives energy supply from the external circuit. In the non-contact type data carrier, a break detection part is formed by using an easily breakable circuit as a break detection sensor. The easily breakable circuit is arranged on one face of a base material and covered with an adhesive layer, by which the data carrier is stuck to the article in use. Presence of a break is detected when the break detection part provided with the easily breakable circuit electrically detects presence of a break in the easily breakable circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
