PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna element having simple constitution so as to be easily manufactured and worked in a wide area and a method for manufacturing the antenna element. SOLUTION: The antenna element 1 is constituted of forming an electrode forming area 2 corresponding to a required electrode pattern and a non-electrode forming area 3 excluding the electrode forming area 2 on the surface of a substrate 4 consisting of either one of dielectric ceramics provided with a surface having plating compatibility, resin and a magnetic substance, projecting the electrode forming area 2 from the surface of the non-electrode forming area 3 to the outside, forming a metallic layer on the electrode forming area 2, and forming a plating resist layer on the non-electrode forming area 3.
