BINARY INFORMATION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binary information transmission system capable of conducting the transmission of binary data during video transmission without the need for using a particular data transfer band in digital broadcast. SOLUTION: The binary information transmission system is provided with a binary information superimposing apparatus including: a video storage section for temporarily storing a digital video image; a position detection processing section for identifying a particular position of the digital video image stored in the video storage section; a binary information superimposing section for superimposing binary data information on a position particularized by the position detection processing section; and a transmission section for outputting a video stream superimposed by the binary information superimposing section. The transmission system is also provided with: a digital stream reception section; a video extract processing section for extracting the video image from the stream received by the reception section; a video data storage section for storing the video data extracted by the video extract processing section; a binary information extract processing section for extracting binary information from the data in the video data storage section; and a control section for carrying out processing by using the binary information extracted by the binary information extract processing section.
