The aim of the invention is to develop a telephone (2) provided with a screen (3) having an optimal size without reducing the keyboard thereof. For this purpose, the inventive telephone (2) comprises the keyboard (4) overlapping the screen (3) where the drive circuits (10) thereof are disposed. For improvement, the flange (15) of the screen extends under the keyboard (4) through the entire length of the telephone (2) in such a way that the keyboard (4) is supported thereby. Said invention is advantageously useable for mobile telephones used in GSM or UMTS telecommunications networks.
