PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ease of use by simplifying the operation by previously setting a combination of the taking in and out of a cutting edge unit suited to a shaving position and the inclination of a head portion and making it operable by one hand in an electric razor in which the head portion having a plurality of reciprocating cutting edge units parallel with the width direction of a body case above the body case incorporating a cutter driving section can be longitudinally swung forward and backward around the central axis of the width direction. SOLUTION: At least one reciprocating cutter unit (A to D) can be selectively moved up and down, by the combination of the vertical position thereof and the head portion (12), action modes corresponding to at least three kinds of shaving sites including the part below the nose, the chin and the cheek are made selectable and selection operators (18b to 18d) of the action mode are arranged above, below and on the right and left of the central main switch (18a).
