<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell for a solid polymer fuel battery of a new structure in which a seal performance in an oxidizing gas flow passage and a fuel gas flow passage formed between overlapped faces of a membrane/electrode assembly and a first separator and a second separator can be secured at a high level and with stability. <P>SOLUTION: By making a solid polymer film 14 in the membrane/electrode assembly 18 as a plane-shaped film larger than a fuel electrode 16a and an oxidation electrode 16b by one size, the entire circumference of the outer peripheral part of the solid polymer membrane 14 is protruded outward from the outer peripheral part of the fuel electrode 16a and the oxidized electrode 16b, and by making the first separator 20 and the second separator 22 as a plane-shaped one further larger than the solid polymer membrane 14 by one size, and the solid polymer membrane 14 is nipped and held by the main face seal rubber layer 52 covered and formed on the respective separators 20, 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
