PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To request remote control from an information processing apparatus which is a control target side of the remote control, to an image processing apparatus. SOLUTION: When a user has to operate an application program on a desk-top computer 101 while utilizing an image processing apparatus 110 away from the desk-top computer 101, a remote control request is issued from an agent program operating on the desk-top computer 101 to the image processing apparatus 110. Thus, the user is capable of remotely controlling the application program on the desk-top computer 101 from the image processing apparatus 110 so that it is not necessary for the user to return from a place where the image processing apparatus 110 is installed, to a place where the desk-top computer 101 is installed.
