PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a withstand voltage test to be safely executed by separating a ground fault detection circuit from a main circuit by a simple operation without changing an internal structure of a ground-fault interrupter. SOLUTION: This ground-fault interrupter is equipped, in an interrupter body, with a ground-fault tripping device including a main circuit contact, a switching mechanism, an operation handle, an overcurrent tripping device and a ground fault detection circuit 7. A switch 22 for a withstand voltage test is connected to a power feed circuit connected between the ground fault detection circuit 7 and the main circuit 1; and the switch for a withstand voltage test is attached to the outside of a case 11 of the interrupter body as an independent exterior switch. By manually subjecting an operation knob 22a to an OFF operation in executing the withstand voltage test, the ground fault detection circuit is separated from the main circuit, the interrupter body is tripped to open a main circuit contact at the same time and thereafter a switching mechanism part 3 is locked in a trip operation state.
