PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform superior loading/unloading, and to secure the durability, using a leader tape having proper characteristics in the strength and in another point, for the leader tape to be spliced onto the leading end of a magnetic tape wound around a single reel. SOLUTION: The single reel 5 around which the magnetic tape 4 is wound is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case 2. One end of the leader tape 7 is fixed to the leading end of the magnetic tape 4.
