PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a brine circulating passage, to reduce the use of brine and to improve temperature control of the brine. SOLUTION: This cooling device comprises a refrigerant circuit 20 for circulating a refrigerant to conduct a refrigeration cycle, and a brine circuit 40 for supplying the brine cooled by heat exchanging with the refrigerant in an evaporator 35 of the refrigerant circuit 20, to a cooled object. The refrigerant circuit 20 excluding the evaporator 35 is formed in a heat source unit 11, and the evaporator 35 and the brine circuit 40 are formed in a use unit 12. The use unit 12 is mounted in an installation chamber of the cooled object, and the heat source unit 11 is mounted in a downstairs installation chamber with respect to the installation chamber of the cooled object.
