PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butterfly valve for easily connecting an operation shaft and a disc. SOLUTION: This butterfly valve is composed of an intermittent means equipped in a vertical space part, connected via one or more of cam connecting means to the lower stage of the operation shaft composed of vertical inner-outer shafts and including the disc for changing a position in closing, and an opening-closing means equipped in an upper part of the vertical inner-outer shafts and opening and closing the intermittent means. The cam connecting means is composed of both joining grooves 31 formed on both sides in a lower part of the outer shaft, a cam installing part fixed by welding and bolt-fastening so that a rear surface of a connecting body is brought into close contact with a front face of the disc 24 and installing a cam for opening the upper-lower sides and the inside and fixed to a lower part of the inner shaft on its inside, the connecting body equipped with one or more of front opening recessed groove parts 322 and inserting the operation shaft, and an outer shaft fixing plate for forming an opened elongate hole 331 sandwiched by both joining grooves 31 in the rear, inserted backward from the front of the recessed groove parts 322, having both end parts of the elongate hole 331 slidably sandwiched by both joining grooves on the side of the outer shaft and fixed to a bracket.
