PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal gasket for suppressing the deformation of a cylinder by reducing the influences of head bolt fastening force without giving influences to the function of sealing a cylinder bore. SOLUTION: A main bead 11 is provided around a cylinder bore hole 2, and a sub bead 12 is provided outside the main bead 11. On a line A connecting a center Cs of the cylinder bore hole 2 to a center Cb of a head bolt hole 5 encircling the cylinder bore hole 2 in a 30°angle range (B-C) from the center Cs of the cylinder bore hole 2 to both sides in a plan view, part 12a of the sub bead 12 is swollen into a protruded shape to the side of the head bolt hole 5.
