PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device for liquid level capable of checking resistance values of a resistor, even in the condition of a plurality of leads linked. SOLUTION: In the detecting device for liquid level, equipped with a fixed electrode 3 partitioning a plurality of leads 3a so as to be independently by cutting off junctions 3d and 3e for connecting electrically among a plurality of leads 3a, on which a sliding contact 6 slides according to fluctuation of liquid level and a resistor 4 for connecting astride a plurality of leads 3a on an insulating substrate 2, a confirming land 11 is installed which is connected electrically with the fixed electrode 3 by a confirming resistor 4a, having the same resistance value per unit area as that of the resistor 4.
