PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door beam for a vehicle capable of improving strength in a limited space without increasing plate thickness. SOLUTION: This door beam for the vehicle is constituted by molding it smaller in dimensions (t) in the door thickness direction of an upper part pipe 21 arranged at a position overlapped seen at a side surface with an inside arm part 33 which is a part to be elevated by working of a door glass elevating mechanism 30 at the lowest position of the door glass elevating mechanism 30 than in dimensions T in the door thickness direction of a lower part pipe 23 overlapped and fixed on a lower part of the upper part pipe 21 and arranged at a position not overlapped seen in the elevation view with the inside arm part 33 of the door glass elevating mechanism 30.
