PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film system which is easy to produce, applicable in a wide field, luminescent and purely polymer-based. SOLUTION: A luminescent, transparent and flexible polymer-based film system comprises: (a) a first transparent plastic film, (b) an organic transparent electrode coat applied on one side of the plastic film (a), (c) a transparent film with a film thickness of 10-200μm, most preferably 20-100μm, which adjoins the coat (c) and a film (b), (d) an organic transparent electrode coat applied on one side of a plastic film (e), and (e) a second transparent plastic film; wherein the film (c) contains, (1) a thermoplastic polyurethane having a hardness of Shore A75-Shore D55, and (2) one or more electroluminescent pigments in an amount of 5-95 wt. %, most preferably 10-50 wt. % based on the total film weight.
