<p>This invention provides a developer for static charge image development comprising colored particles comprising a binder resin, a colorant, and a release agent, and an external additive, and a process for producing the same. This developer has the following properties. The work function is not less than 5.70 eV. In the measurement of the work function, the gradient of normalized photoelectron yield relative to excitation energy is not less than 15/eV when the excitation energy (eV) is plotted as abscissa against the normalized photoelectron yield expressed by the 0.5th power of the photoelectron yield per unit photon as ordinate. The extraction with methanol is not more than 5.0% by weight.</p> |
