Papermaking suspension cellulose grinding process employs grinding wheels with bevelled outlet rim

In a papermaking process to grind an aqueous suspension (S) of cellulose the suspension is fed (5) to the inlet between two grinding wheels (1, 2) that rotate with respect to each other and bearing ribs. The outlet side of the milling wheels are bevelled (7). The ribs are bevelled at an angle of about 60 and reduce the rib height. The ribs are about 2.5 mm wide and are separated by detents of 2-6 mm width and depth of 3-10 mm. The inlet zone is also bevelled.
