The invention relates to a method for analysing a regulatory network consisting in incorporating differentially expressed genes into a first set, in incorporating transcription factors in a second set, in seeking after regulatory relationships between the genes of the first set and each transcription factor of the second set, in selecting the transcription factors of the second set which regulate the multitude of genes of the first set in an above-average manner, in incorporating the selected transcription factors with the differentially expressed genes of the first set into the extended first set and in analysing the regulatory genetic network of a cell on the basis of the first extended gene set.
